Hortus siccus: the "dry garden" or the art of immortalizing plants
Drawing inspiration from the work of botanists and naturalists of a bygone era, each of my herbarium boards is unique and presented in a way that evokes the charm of herbaria of yesteryear.
No dyes or fixatives are used; the color of the specimens will evolve naturally over time, giving the board the sought-after look of authentic herbaria.
Positioned between several sheets of blotting paper and 2 sheets of stiff cardboard, each specimen spends around 14 to 21 days in a wooden herbarium press before being mounted on acid-free, heavy-weight paper.
Collections: "Plante sauvage" (wild plant), "Plante de jardin" (garden plant) and "Plante potagère" (vegetable plant). In each collection, each board has a unique number recorded in a register.
